Our Purpose, Vision and Mission
Our Purpose
The purpose of our church is to progressively become "An authentic model of Christ-like community that experiences, demonstrates and shares the love of God."
Jesus' Great Commandment and Great Commission are the foundation for all we are and do.
The Great Commandment: "Jesus said: 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart .... soul .... and mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:37-40 (NIV)
The Great Commission: "Jesus said, 'Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you' ...." Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV)
- To "Love God with all your heart" is worship.
- To "Love your neighbor as yourself" is ministry.
- To "Go and make disciples" is evangelism.
- To "Baptize ...." is to assimilate into fellowship.
- To "Teach them to obey everything" is discipleship.
Our Vision
The vision of our church is to be a catalyst to transform greater Atlanta from a "culturally Christian" city to a "global strategic training center" for the cause of Jesus Christ ....
- by producing full-grown Christians
- who are authentic worshippers,
- equipped and motivated to reach spiritually lost people in their specific spheres of influence,
- according to their unique gifts and passions in the context of authentic community.
Our Mission
The mission of our church is growing people to impact their world and beyond.
